Rose Bowl Pairs 2023

After a four year gap, the Ladies Rose Bowl Pairs finally took place again. 9 pairs competed in a round-robin of 2 end triples. The weather forecast was for rain, but whilst skies over Epsom were dark and stormy, the light drizzle in Ewell failed to disrupt the games. The competition was won by Christine Dally and Denise Goodall. The trophies will be formally presented at the Finals Weekend. After the competition, the players were treated to a prosecco tea, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all partakers. Well-earned thanks went to Ritu for organising the event, with assistance from Veena.

PS: The eagle-eyed will have spotted an interloper - Derek Learwood was a last-minute substitution for wife Linda who sustained a late injury. Well done Derek - that's got to be worth a few brownie points!
