Competitors and spectators battled through the heat to enjoy another great 'Australian Pairs' day. The first round comprised 4 groups of 3 pairs. Groups A&B and C&D played each other with the top pair in each group progressing to the final. The final was between Ellen & Allen and Denise & Geoff, with Denise & Geoff emerging as winners. Everyone was able to to access the fabulous buffet as matches dictated. The various desserts and cakes were wonderful, but Heathers amazing meringues stole the show, as usual. And the bar did well all day! The day finished with the traditional 'Spider' with everyone arranged around the green and on the governors call, everyone rolled their bowl towards the centrally placed jack, with Chris K winning a koala bear for being the closest.
